The blacksmith thrush or eastern slaty thrush (Turdus subalaris) is a passerine bird in the family Turdidae. It is found in Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay.

Range and habitat
Breeds southernmost Brazil (north to Paraná), northeastern Argentina, and southeastern Paraguay; winters northward to south-central Brazil (northward to Mato Grosso and Goiás).
