The Chaco sparrow (Rhynchospiza strigiceps), formerly known as the stripe-capped sparrow, is a species of bird in the family Passerellidae. It is found in Argentina and Paraguay.

Range and habitat

Breeds in north-central Argentina (Salta and Chaco southward to La Rioja, San Luis, Córdoba, and Buenos Aires); partially migratory, wintering to southeastern Bolivia, western Paraguay, and northeastern Argentina (Corrientes and Entre Ríos).
